As a resource management non-profit, our main goal is to improve the quality of life for Oakland’s community members at the city level through education and community service.
We will host various class types ranging across topics of History, Finance, Art, Social Media, Proper Resume Development, How to build out your business, Credit repair courses, How to refinance your mortgage, Barbering, and Construction apprenticeship programs, etc.
Each class will be taught by leaders in their respective topics and community members will be able to register for attendance days before the event.
These classes will be designed to expose the community members of Oakland to resources that have proven to be worthy when used properly.
We will also host many community events tailored towards networking, public safety leisure, and health and wellness.
Upon successful completion, those enrolled in classes offered will receive certifications and or licenses in their respective field. This will aid students in securing gainful employment. Additional class offerings that do not require a certification will include but are not limited to Job Preparedness Training such as Resume Building and Interviewing Skills. Service Offerings at The University of Oakland will include Tax Services, Counseling both for families and individuals, Drug Rehabilitation, Foster Care Support, and 2nd Chance ReEntry Programs. For communities within Oakland to thrive we must address the root of the problem by eliminating it at its core. With limited resources to support the rebirth of our communities The University of Oakland will provide these programs and services to community members who have been otherwise overlooked.
