A major highlight of the celebration will be free haircuts provided by the University of Oakland and Jaguar Speed Inc. Barber Program, reinforcing our mission of community service, mentorship, and opportunity.

Families attending the celebration can look forward to a wide variety of activities throughout the day, including one of the most exciting Easter egg hunts in Oakland –

• Easter Egg Hunts with jumbo eggs and baskets
• Live DJ and music creating a festive atmosphere

• Game Bus and Kid Zone attractions

• Food vendors and community booths

The event will also include participation from local organizations and public safety representatives such as CHP and OPD, helping strengthen relationships between community members and local services.

Free Haircuts for the Community

One of the most meaningful parts of this event will be the Free Haircut Station, provided by the University of Oakland Barber Program.

Barber students and experienced barbers will be offering complimentary haircuts to children and community members, demonstrating the program’s commitment to skill development, entrepreneurship, and community service.

This initiative highlights how the Barber & Entrepreneur Program empowers participants with practical skills while also giving back to the community.

Barber Showcase & Community Service

The University of Oakland Barber & Entrepreneur Program will take center stage at this year’s Annual Easter Celebration, offering free haircuts to children and community members throughout the event.
